19 months old

Yep, Meritt is 19 months old today!! And...she tries to brush her own teeth. She is the most adorable, fun little girl & I couldn't be happier. We love you!

December

Ok, I'm going to make this quick.....Here are pics from the whole month of December (except for Christmas - that's another post). I know, i can't keep up, but hopefully with the holidays coming to an end it will be much easier. I've decided that I take way too many pictures and I've even cut back some....but I don't want to miss anything. I really think we will all really enjoy having this blog to look back on over the years, and it's much easier than printing a bunch of pics to put in photo albums. :) I can't even imagine how bad it will be when we have another baby!!

One weekend I went with Kelli to a beginners art class that a lot of our friends go to & it was lots of fun! Can't wait for next time!

One morning, laying in Mommy & Daddy's bed while we got ready.

OUCH!!! Meritt bit me!! It hurt pretty good & I popped her on her mouth just as a first reaction.....but then I felt bad. It didn't really bother her & I know her poor teeth were hurting her so bad.....she had been chewing on everything. :( (see below)

She likes to walk around like a ghost & she would always go to the Christmas tree.

I LOVE her pig tails! I need to do it more often, but it's a pain sometimes.

Meritt has decided that she likes to play in the dirt. We even had to change her clothes twice because she got so dirty.

This was after Chris & I had the stomach flu. I only had it for one day, but Chris was down for 2-3 days & Meritt sure missed her Daddy. She was hanging all over him!

She's pretending to drink out of the cute "Aunt" mug that my nephew Jared gave me for Christmas. Also, she still loves to sit & play in the laundry basket.

After her bath, she runs into her room to find which ever one of us is hiding. :)

Just a few new things that Meritt has been doing/saying lately:

- sometimes she will go hide when she poops & then will run from you when you try to change her

- loves going down the little slide on her play set in the backyard a million times

- will say "dada" when a specific commercial comes on TV with a man talking about cars at The Ford House (kinda weird because she really doesn't say Mama or Dada to us)

- still doesn't say many words, but continues to jibber-jabber all the time & really tries to tell us stuff

- all of a sudden is saying "sshhh" & putting her finger up to her mouth. It's so funny but we have no idea where she learned it.

- still will not drink milk out of a sippy cup, but we're really trying to work on it. She will take drinks if I tell her to, but will only take 1 drink to pacify me.....so I think she's just being stubborn.

- loves watching cartoons/movies: Toy Story (all 3), Ice Age (all), Madagascar (all), Tigger & Pooh still, Tinkerbell.....and others

- likes to look at her flash cards, but gets distracted very easily & will just ignore us when we try to teach her

- absolutely LOVED all the Christmas lights

- has a total of 12 teeth - 4 front top & bottom, 4 molars - 1 each side, top & bottom

There are SO many more things that are so fun & cute that she does, but I will just try to remember more later.
