YEP!! Meritt is going to be a Big Sister.....come January 2012.
We're expecting Baby Morgan #2 around January 7, 2012!! We had our first prenatal appointment today & got to see him/her for the first time. See below...
We are super duper excited!! We've actually known about 3 weeks, but wanted to wait to tell everyone after we had our first appointment.
We've been trying since the first of the year and finally it happened! When I knew it was time to find out I picked up a home pregnancy test on my way home from work. Chris probably knew it was getting close to finding out, but I wanted to try to surprise him. I pulled up & he was at the door, so I couldn't bring the sack in with me. I think he might have known I was acting a little weird....even though I tried not to. Finally I got the chance to go sneak to my truck to get the test....then snuck back inside & went to the bathroom. I always feel like I jinx myself by taking a test & it comes back negative....but not this time. As soon as I sat the test down, I saw ONE line. Well I immediately thought it was negative, but I looked closer and the SECOND line was coming in. I couldn't believe it!! Even though it wasn't that dark, it was definitely a + sign. :) So I hid the test, because I wanted to wait until Meritt woke up from her nap so that I could have her go give it to Chris. Not too much later she was awake, so I went & got her....then gave her to test & told her to give it to Daddy! He knew immediately & got super excited. Meritt had no clue what was going on, but we told her that Mommy had a baby in her belly & she kissed my belly....it was so cute! I then decided I wanted to take a couple more tests just to be sure.....

Sooooo....It's official and we couldn't be more excited. We didn't like waiting to tell everyone....it's not as exciting when no one really knows. But not now....everyone is super excited for us and can't wait for another beautiful baby.
I am almost 8 weeks (Sat) & I have already been feeling different than I did with Meritt. I have been more nauseous and WAY more tired and have no energy. Also some of my regular pants are getting pretty tight in the waist, so we already dug out the maternity clothes & got them all washed for when ever I might need them. And for some reason I feel like it's a Boy.....maybe just because I feel so different, everyone I know is pregnant with a boy and we have absolutely no boy stuff.....so I am already guessing that's what it is. We don't care either way and just want a healthy baby that God has planned for us. I'll definitely keep updating!
Better get going.....Meritt's birthday party is Sat and we have lots to do! :)
