Party time!

So....Meritt's 2nd birthday was a success!! We had her party at our house on Sat. the 28th.....we just did cake, ice cream & presents first.....then headed out into the backyard for lots of fun in the water! Even though it was 112 degrees outside....it still was a hit. All of the kids really had a lot of fun. Then the next day on Meritt's actual birthday we just hung out together for the morning & then went swimming with the Vickers & friends. We ended the day at Uncle Matt & Aunt Michelle's to celebrate Tristan's birthday, since we weren't able to on his actual birthday. It was a great day & Meritt was pretty worn out. Monday we were off for Memorial day & we went out to Nana & Papa's for a little while...then just rested & stayed home. Overall it was a fantastic weekend & I think we all enjoyed ourselves!

I wrote on the sidewalk with chalk & was pretty proud of myself. :)

The house looked good with all the decorations.

Meritt wasn't happy at first because she saw the pools outside & we wouldn't let her go out there until after cake & presents.

So then I thought I would at least let her go outside & swing for a minute, but she wanted to get in the pools, so we came back inside.

Disaster in the living room after presents!

Actual birthday.....I made her some macaroni & cheese and weenies....one of her favorite meals!

After naptime....headed to the Vickers to swim!

She wanted to go down the big slide, so I put her halfway and Daddy caught her in the pool. :)

On Memorial Day we went out to Holliday to Nana & Papa's house so the boys & Michelle could shoot their new guns. I stayed behind with the little ones!

We walked around, saw the chickens....then came back to watch them shoot their guns. Pretty soon Nana showed up & we went inside to play where it was cooler.

Then later that evening we got the water table back out to let Meritt play. She loves that thing!

She got a little wet, so I stripped her down a little. :)

Ok....well that's all for a while.....we're headed to MEXICO!!!

I'm sure I'll have lots to post after we get back next week. :)
