SIX MONTHS

I can't believe this sweet boy is already 6 months old! He is the most precious little thing & brings so much joy to our family. It's crazy to think that he is halfway to 1 year old....& that he started off small, 2 months early & 3 weeks in the hospital. Look how perfect & healthy he is!! He's almost sitting up by himself & he is constantly smiling. Anyone can start talking to him & he will smile so big....and then it just melts your heart. The combination of his long eyelashes & flirty grin means he's definitely going to be a heart-breaker. :)
Here are the rest of his adorable 6 month pics....

Today, on his actual "half" birthday, he had his well baby doctor appointment. We were very excited to see how much he had grown since his 4 month. We felt like he was a lot bigger, but still weren't sure compared to a full-term 6 month old. Well....we were pleasantly SURPRISED!

Weight - 16.14 lbs, up from 13.1
Length - 26.5 in, up from 24
Head - 17 in, up from 16

AND...He's 50th percentile!!! Oh my goodness!! That means he's Average & has already caught up from being a preemie. Dr Yap couldn't believe it. He said that preemies usually catch up to the other kids by 2 years and Axton already has at 6 months. :) He was such a big boy when he was born, for being almost 2 months early....so it would make sense that he caught up sooner. Dr Yap said, "you would never know he's a preemie now!" Axton loved Dr Yap.....smiled at him the whole time & when Dr Yap stood him up on the table, Axton just jumped & kicked his feet on the crinkle, crunchy paper......Dr Yap thought it was hilarious. That baby boy of ours is SO strong! We have to warn people when they hold him because he jumps, kicks & will almost buck himself right out of your hands. :) He is so wild & wiggly sometimes that he has almost rolled off of his changing table, off of his bath tub sling thing....anything that we put him on/in, we absolutely have to buckle him. He has recently started yelling all the time. It's pretty funny & he gets really loud sometimes. He likes to hear himself I think. Ha! Anyway...here are a couple pics from his doctor appointment. We are just so thankful that we have Axton & that he is so precious, beautiful & healthy. So blessed!!

April

Ok....theres LOTS of pics....a whole month's worth. :) I've learned to combine pictures into collages to help minimize them, but still show all of our memories.
So here's what went on in April....
Got the exersaucer out for Axton, but looks like someone else wanted to play with it.
We tried it out, but he's still little so we have to put stuff around him in the seat for support.
I wanted to take some pics of Axton & his beautiful face!!
Meritt just had her LAST speech therapy appointment on April 2...& it's very bittersweet! We loved Nancy & will miss seeing her every week, but that means that Meritt has made such great progress over the last year & she doesn't need it anymore. There are still a few things we will continue to work on, but that girl is talking up a storm these days. :)

One of my favorite words she says is "pootie" for computer & I try to get her to say COM-PUTER....but then it's just "compootie". It sounds pretty funny...especially when she says "That's Mommy's pootie". HA! She is saying new words every single day....even words that we didn't know she knew. That means that she's listening & learning from everything around her. :)
Trying on Daddy's new shoes...that he had to order online because NO ONE has his size here in town. That size would be a 15!!! That's crazy!
One day we were on the way to Meritt's music class & some big storms were coming in. It was 9:30 am & it was this dark.
Then later that day, there were tornadoes & really bad weather in the metroplex.
Papa Don & Gramie try to come visit the kids about twice a week or so. He helped Meritt build this with her mega blocks. :)
Cute story - One day Ax woke up from his nap, so I changed his diaper & then put him on his playmat. I had to go change Meritt's diaper & he started crying then screaming...so I told Meritt to go talk to him & say "it's ok baby, don't cry." Well I don't know what she said but I'm not kidding...he completely shut up & I didn't make another peep!! Most beautiful thing ever. He was just looking at her & then he was happy & cooing. LOVE IT
My 32nd birthday came & it was a good day. Lots of love & wishes....and got to go get this cute pedicure. I wanted to be festive for Easter, too. :)
Meritt is becoming such a big girl!
I got a picture with my sweet babies on my birthday.
Then I wanted to get a couple family pictures before heading to Mom's 70th surprise birthday party.
I decided to plan a little party for Mom/Gramie's 70th birthday. I invited a few of her close girlfriends & she was pretty surprised. It was at Jalapeno Tree & almost all of our family was there, too!
Meritt always drinks her milk & watches cartoons in the morning.
My little booger bear having some good tummy time.
He's really liking his exersaucer.
Meritt could swing for hours if we'd let her.
Big boy sitting in the Bumbo for the first time.
We go out to Nana & Papa's house at least once a week. The weather was perfect & we played outside. Meritt found dandelions & I was trying to show her how to blow them. I love this pic so much!!
Axton really enjoys his bath time....although he's starting to act crazy & almost turns himself out of it. :)
Owen turned 5 & had his birthday party at Jump for Joy. Meritt absolutely loves that place!

Rhonda held Axton so that we could play with Meritt. Babies love her!
 She loves her cousins!
I finally got to go to one of Jordy's baseball games & took Meritt with me. She LOVED it & stole Papa Don's popcorn and my coke. :)
I thought this picture was so neat, so I made the colors stand out. It could be a
The family at the game.
He likes sitting on the table with us while we eat dinner. :)
We went to Scarlett's 4th birthday party at Kandra & Justin's house. Meritt was in heaven with the bounce house. Little does she know that HER birthday party is going to be at Jump for Joy. :)
Meritt doing her first "pin the bow on Hello Kitty" (like pin the tail on the donkey). :)
Patiently waiting for cake & ice cream.
Axton's eyelashes SERIOUSLY touch his eyebrows. Girls comment on them every where we go. Of course boys get the most beautiful, long eye lashes. :)
See...they touch!
He's so pretty her could be a girl! Ha!
Eeewwww...I don't like geckos....even though they don't hurt anything.
Gramie comes over on Tuesday mornings to watch Axton while I take Meritt to music class.
It started getting really warm already & has been in the high 80's-90's, so Meritt got to play in the sprinkler.
Then we put the sprinkler under her trampoline.
One evening before Gramie went to Jordy's baseball game, she brought Aunt Pat with her to come see the kids.
Axton was drooling so much that I took his clothes off & took him outside to watch Meritt play. He's actually getting chubby & has some little baby man boobs. :)
He can fall asleep anywhere.
Playtime in Mommy & Daddy's bed.
Silly time!
Wow... that was a lot! :)
